Mill Creek Campground is so wonderfully peaceful and relaxing that some people come here to just hang effectually the campground and never go anywhere else. It'southward in a logged redwood grove so it doesn't have any old growth, but its location in a deep valley side by side to maple-shaded Factory Creek is really quite scenic; the leafy streamside maples and patches of dark second-growth redwoods make a very attractive combination. It's also well away from any roads, then the simply traffic noise is from people driving down the long access route to achieve their campsites.
Compared to older, more centrally-located campgrounds like Prairie Creek and Jedediah Smith, Manufacturing plant Creek is similar a sprawling suburb: the campsites are farther apart so information technology feels a lot less crowded, but you have to arrive your car and bulldoze to go anywhere — it'southward a 2-mile drive just to leave the campground.
The northern half of the campground is for the most part pretty open up, with a prissy mix of redwoods and sunny streamside vegetation. The southern, more than redwood-intensive half, especially the southernmost tip, is under the deep shade of second-growth redwoods, with lots of huge stumps.

Sites in the 90s that are on the exterior of the loop road (particularly 90, 95, 98, and 99) tend to be pretty nice and offering good privacy. These sites are tucked abroad in the woods on a hillside, and then you have to climb a lilliputian x-yard-long access trail to get to them.
94 is a fiddling different; it's in a little clearing in 6-foot-high scrub, so it's very private, and in that location'due south no climb, just it's not very breathtaking, since all you tin can see is the scrub.

Campground details
Mill Creek is mainly intended for tent camping, only RVs up to 28 feet and trailers upward to 24 feet are immune; there are no hookups but there's a dump station and water filling station. Each site has a burn pit, picnic table, and food storage locker.
As at all Redwood National and State Park campgrounds there are strict rules that all food must be stored in the locker, even while you lot're around; animals in many state parks have completely lost their fear of people and tin can exist shockingly bold virtually stealing food.
The campground has six ADA sites that can but exist reserved by those with a disabled parking placard or license plate. If the sites are not reserved they're available on a showtime-come, get-go-served ground.
